Celebrate the Arts Night

Throughout the year exhibits of student artwork are on display in the lobby and the display case at Gates.  Every spring, Gates puts on our annual Celebrate the Arts Night for the Gates school community.  A HUGE exhibition of artwork from every student is on display throughout the school!  There is also a Family Art-making Station and The Gates School Chorus also performs their spring concert.

Invention Convention

5th Graders display their artwork and design process from a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) unit inventing solar powered sculptures.

Youth Art Month Shows

Every March, the Acton schools participate in the celebration of National Youth Art Month

MAEA Youth Art Month Exhibition at the State Transportation Building in Boston:  Gates sends representative student artwork to be exhibited for the month, alongside works by K-12 students from schools across central Massachusetts. 

Worcester Art Museum's Youth Art Month Exhibition: Gates sends representative student artwork to be exhibited for the month, alongside works by K-12 students from schools across central Massachusetts. 

Sargent Memorial Library, Boxborough: Every spring, the ABVA Department holds a student exhibit at the Boxborough library in their gallery space. The exhibit runs for one month and includes a student reception for families and all members of the community.  

Acton Senior Center Show: Each year, the ABVA Department mounts a student exhibit at the Senior Center in South Acton. The exhibit runs for one month and includes a student reception for families and all members of the community.
