I will be posting hands-on learning explorations in the visual arts for grades K-6 throughout the time we are away from school.
My daughters, Shelly (7) and Oli (5), are inspiring me every day with what they make in our home studio and outdoors in our yard. I will be sharing our favorite art explorations in this blog to hopefully inspire you as well! My goal is to provide authentic & engaging hands-on art explorations that are NOT on devices because it is so important that children explore materials & ideas in their physical world.
Remember, you are ALL artists and you have Wonderful, Original, Works of Art just waiting to burst out of you. If you create any artwork, whether it's inspired by these ideas or imagined by you on your own, please feel free to post them on your digital portfolio in Artsonia. Here are the directions if you're not sure how. You can also watch this video to learn how. Alternatively, feel free email me at cknight@abschools.org and I can post it for you. I would love to see what you are making!
I miss you all and can't wait to be back exploring art materials & ideas in the real Gates Studio with you! In the meantime, here are some ideas to get your creative art minds thinking, art hands moving, art hearts pumping, and keep your art community inspired!
