* Field Trip developed and facilitated through a partnership with the Ecology Center Education Team *
This field trip provides AAPS 7th Graders the opportunity to tour Ann Arbor’s Resource Recovery Center, to discover what happens to the stuff that we throw out. Students will study various solid waste management processes (e.g. recycling, composting, landfilling, trash compaction), consider impacts on climate and local natural resources (air, soil, water), and implications for personal and systemic waste management decisions.
