7th Grade Resource Recovery Center Bus Tour

1/2 Day Field Trip to the Municipal Facility at 4150 Platt Road

This field trip provides all AAPS 7th Graders the opportunity to tour Ann Arbor’s Resource Recovery Center, to discover what happens to the stuff that we throw out. Students will study various solid waste management processes (e.g. recycling, composting, landfilling, trash compaction), consider impacts on climate and local natural resources (air, soil, water), and implications for personal and systemic waste management decisions.
