Young Authors Book Project
We're proud of everything we publish at 826CHI, but we get particularly excited about our annual Young Author's Book Project ("YABP"), in which we partner with a local school to produce an anthology of student work. Over the course of a full school year, our writing coaches work individually with students to help them clarify their voices and polish their drafts.
Every June, we release this publication to raucous applause at the historic Printers Row Lit Fest, where students are invited to read their work to an audience full of their peers, family members, 826CHI supporters, and strangers. These books are sold at bookstores big and small all over the country and are a huge source of pride for 826CHI and our authors.
Although the last two releases have been somewhat unconcentional with virtual releases, the publications were still amazing and demonstrate the resillency of our students.
