Rebecca Wilusz

Rebecca Wilusz joined the 5 DP in September, 2022.  She comes to the Partnership with over twenty-five years of experience working in and with public schools. With over a decade of classroom experience teaching high school English and Integrated Humanities, she has also held school-based, teacher leadership roles as a mentor teacher, team leader, department chair, and program lead. After gaining her administrative license she served in building-based leadership roles including Assistant Principal, Principal, Dean of Curriculum, and Dean of Students.


For several years, Rebecca also worked as a school improvement and change coach partnering with public schools and districts to support the implementation of equity focused initiatives such as standards aligned curriculum, assessment, and grading; teacher collaborative inquiry and alignment of curriculum, instruction and assessment; student-centered learning strategies such as project based learning and deeper learning; and relationship focused programs such as advisory and restorative practices. She worked with state agencies of education, districts, and schools in urban, suburban, and rural settings primarily throughout ME, VT, NH, CT, and MA.


Rebecca holds a B.A. in English and American Studies from Amherst College (Amherst, MA), an M.A.T. in Secondary English from Brown University (Providence, RI), and completed her administrative licensure through the Principals’ Residency Network (P.R.N.) at Northeastern University (Boston, MA). She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Educational Studies at Lesley University (Cambridge, MA) with a focus on effective professional development and collective teacher efficacy. She is licensed in MA as an English teacher, Principal/Assistant Principal, and Assistant Superintendent/Superintendent.
