Counselors at Sheldon provide students with academic guidance, personal counseling, and post-high school planning. They can help during a time of distress, help you resolve conflicts, address bullying or other relationship problems, help families with basic needs, and refer you for counseling.
The counselors are available both by drop in and appointment. When counselors do not have appointments or are not in meetings you are welcome to meet with them immediately without an appointment. (Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm) if in crisis come to the counsling office and someone will help you
Counselors treat what you have to say confidentially. What is shared with them stays with them, except in a limited number of situations where they are required by law to report, such as when the counselor believes that someone might be a source of harm to themselves or others, or where there is reason to believe that child abuse is occurring.
*If reaching out to a counselor outside of school hours (7:45AM-3:45PM) please know they will not see your email until the next school day.
