Application for Degree
Students are required to submit an Application for Degree to indicate to the university that they are finishing their degree. The specific deadline for this application can be found in the Academic Calendar for the student’s final quadmester. Email communication will also be sent in advance of this deadline to students who have been identified as on track for graduation that quadmester.

The chart below outlines the graduation ceremony students will be able to attend, based on when they are set to complete their MBA@Rice program.
The degree conferral month listed indicates when the University will verify that students have received their degree. Before graduation, students need to confirm the correct permanent address in ESTHER to receive their diploma and graduation gift.

As a student nears completion of their MBA program, they will be invited to attend a graduation ceremony and celebration events held in December and May.

This will be a sit-down dinner event, where we will present the M.A. Wright Award winners, as well as hear remarks from Jones Graduate School of Business leadership. Graduates are welcome to bring a guest with them to this event. We look forward to meeting a family member, friend, or significant other.
