General and Advanced STEM Opportunities

At the 2023 Central Illinois STEM Fair there are multiple exhibits for those who are interested in general STEM opportunities

Boy Scouts have a program called STEM Nova and Supernova Awards to excite and expand a sense of wonder in scouts

Starting at Daisys, Girl Scouts have a series of STEM activities for all ages with hands-on experiences.

Cooper Jets 4H will be at the fair to exhibit its STEM activities from animal sicences to environment to robots, drones, and maker activities

Rochester Public Library has a large selection of STEAM kits available to check out and use for two weeks at home.

Sangamon Valley Radio Club has been around since 1948 and enables it members to obtain their amateur radio licenses


At the 2023 Central Illinois STEM Fair there are multiple exhibits for those who are interested in advanced STEM opportunities

Illinois Math and Science Academy admissions department will be present to talk to interested 7th and 8th grade students about the possibility of attending IMSA starting in the 10th grade.

Illinois State University's Center for Mathematics Science and Technology (CeMaST) runs a High School Research Symposium to celebrate the research done by students throughout the year.


Other general and advanced programs that are not anticipated to be at the 2023 STEM Fair:

IMSA also offers an online research program called RISE where students can do independent research with the support of an advisor.

The Illinois Junior Academy of Science (IJAS) runs a  Science Exposition each year.
