5-2 Muse Design Awards 2021

2021 New Year's Eve party in Kaohsiung also won a platinum award from Muse Design Awards

In 1920, Kaohsiung was renamed from "Takao" to Kaohsiung, and it will be exactly one hundred years in 2020. The Kaohsiung Municipal Government has organized the "2021 Cross Hundred Light Year" to ring in the next hundred years for the New Year's event.

With the theme of "Light", the Kaohsiung City Government and the creative team in the community have adopted a modern approach to sort out the history and culture of Kaohsiung from ancient times to the present, and then integrate and blend them into modern light and shadow art. It is also presented with three important displays such as the mysterious symbol, the centennial mirror ball, and the blessing ceremony, linking the concepts of connection, communication, and ritual.

The centennial mirror ball

LOGO Introduction

The sign which is at the center is the LOGO "Across a Hundred Light-year". The year 2020 is the 100th year of Kaohsiung since its name was changed in 1920, so some ingenuity we can find in the logo. First of all, we can see that the appearance of the logo looks like a mirror ball, which is to echo the centennial mirror ball in the New Year's event. When we look at the LOGO horizontally, we can see that it becomes the number "100", while standing upright is the Chinese word "百", both of which are to express the first 100 years since the name change.
