FAMILY EDUCATIONAL RIGHTS AND PRIVACY ACT (FERPA)

The Family Educational Rights And Privacy Act,  commonly referred to as FERPA, is a federal law that protects the privacy of students' education records, which applies to all school receiving funds under an applicable program of the United States Department of Education. Faculty, staff, administrators, and other university officials are required by FERPA to treat education records in a legal, specifed manner.

Access to student information is dependent on our role as tutors at the Writing Center and this information will not be released to any third party.
