Instructions for Participants and Civic Engagement Pathways
Welcome to The So Cool So Just Organization Fair!
This fair provides an opportunity for students to make connections, get involved, and build relationships with campus wide organizations and initiatives with a focus on social justice, change, activism, and social action. The fair is composed of student organizations, student life and academic programs with a variety of initiatives, efforts, and opportunities to engage.
Each organization is sorted by a civic engagement pathway. The Pathways to Civic Engagement and Community Change framework describes a range of possibilities by which you can engage in and contribute to communities to further U-M’s mission and exercise your own power to create a better world. These pathways intersect and overlap, demonstrating the interdependent nature of working toward the common good. There is no one single “best” path and most people move through multiple pathways over time. Each pathway outlines opportunities to engage from any location, in public health-informed ways.
