Instructions for Registered Tablers

Thank you for registering to table for the SCSJ Organization fair!

In preparation for this program, please ensure that your zoom link is active, and that you have an available representative to attend the duration of the program from 11AM - 1PM. In the event of a cancellation, contact scsjplanningteam@umich.edu

Organizations will host tables using the zoom platform (meeting function, with waiting room feature included). Participants will be able to find your organization profile, and zoom link in two locations

  • SCSJ Fair Page: This page offers participant instructions for how to identify organizations, and access zoom links. At the bottom of this page is a gallery view of participating organizations

  • SCSJ Pathway Page: Each organization is organized by pathway. Your organization can be found by pathway type. If you identified more than one pathway for your organization, one specific pathway was selected

Please review each page to ensure that your organization’s information is accurate and up to date. We also encourage you to test your zoom link in preparation for the program

Zoom Security and Settings

For the purposes of the fair, we strongly recommend that you arrange a zoom meeting room (not a webinar) and include a waiting room function. Creating this setting will allow hosts to authorize participant entry, verify U-M affiliation, and prevent zoom security breaches. By creating a zoom meeting and enabling a waiting room, hosts will not be required to create a passcode function.

Virtual waiting rooms allow users to admit or remove participants, reduce likelihood for zoom security breaches, and are "only" available under meeting settings. Creating a virtual waiting room allows host to set up meetings with participants in the U-M community either individually or in groups. If the host would like to verify participants are a part of the U-M community, use the waiting room "chat" feature by sending a message.

  1. Navigate to https://zoom.umich.edu/meeting and login if prompted

  2. Hover over the Meeting you want to change and click Edit
    NOTE: For recurring meetings, click Edit on the next occurrence, then click Edit All Occurrences.

  3. Check the box next to Waiting room in the Security section

  4. Click Save at the bottom of the page

There will be an onsite technologist available 11AM - 1PM to support any troubleshooting concerns. Instructions to contact the technologists will be made available prior to the fair, in preparation of the event.
