Writing Target/Worksheet

yWriter has two reports that you can use to manually record your progress during writing sessions. (Simon uses them during NaNoWriMo.)

Reports > Daily Writing Target

The headings for this report are Date, Daily target, Cumulative Target, Written, and Cumulative. The last two columns are left blank. Print out this report and "use the low-tech 'handwriting' technique" to fill them in.

Reports > One day writing worksheet

When you select this report, you are asked the following:

    1. How many words you want to write on this day. (For example, use the number that appears in the Daily Target column of the Daily Writing Target report.)
    2. How many words per hour do you expect to write?
    3. What time will you start writing?

yWriter creates a report with headings for End Time, New words written, Running Total, Progressive Target, and Net +/- . Only End Time and Progressive Target are filled in. The rest are for you to fill in.

For example, if you want to write 3,000 words this day, you estimate that you should be able to write 500 words an hour, and you will start at 9:00, the report tells you that by 10:00 you should have 500 words, and so on, all the way up to 16:00 (4:00 pm).
