Classical music and the sub genre of opera has been an interest to Christie Grimstad since childhood. It comes as no surprise, therefore, that many of the works he's created revolve around this musical niche. Christie has incorporated the use of stippling technique into many of the operatic art pieces, and has also selected esoteric operas as the subject matter for his compositions. It is to honor these composers whose works are virtually unknown, neglected or out of repertoire. Several pieces have been donated to various celebrities including philanthropist Mrs. Marilyn Ziering (Los Angeles Opera Board Member), Ferruccio Furlanetto (world renowned Italian bass-baritone), and Lado Ataneli (world renowned Georgian baritone).
