San Diego Opera has become one of the most well respected opera companies in the world. Since its founding in 1950, this professional operatic company has been host to many well known operatic stars including, Luciano Pavarotti, Dame Joan Sutherland, Beverly Sills, Plácido Domingo, Ferruccio Furlanetto and Renée Fleming. The company also features four productions per calendar year, many which are found within the standard repertory.

Christie has also interviewed internationally known singers Ferruccio Furlanetto and Lado Ataneli and attend a press mixer with 21st century composer Jake Heggie.
