Parallel Passages

In Bible Translation- there is no need to "reinvent the wheel" as we like to say.

We are working with speakers to base new translation work off of what has already been completed.

Did you know?

The New Testament writers included approximately 250 express [some say direct quotes] Old Testament quotations, and if one includes indirect or partial quotations, the number jumps to more than 1,000 (referring to all OT books except Obadiah).

The following list includes around one thousand New Testament quotations or allusions of Old Testament Scriptures.

Note: The list contains not only the direct or indirect citations, but also the allusions which are particularly worthy of attention: and the passages are given in the order of the Books of the New Testament.

The first column is the New Testament quotation (or allusion). The second column is the Old Testament Scripture being referred to. If a question mark follows the word 'allusion' ('allusion?') then the allusion is not certain but merely a possibility.
