Fundraising/DonorDrive
Online Fundraising via DonorDrive
After you register online for the Mini-THON, you will automatically get an online fundraising/Donor Drive page. You can edit your page, manage donations, send donation request e-mails, make Facebook posts or Tweet donation requests.
1. Edit your fundraising/Donor Drive page
Go to the SG Mini-THON DonorDrive page
Click on Log In to your fundraising page
Under Account Login, enter your username and password that you created when you registered for the Mini-THON.
Click on Your Page at the top left
Import images, update your fundraising goal, and sign your name to your personal message—click save changes then click on the dashboard on the top left.
2. Online Donations (highly encouraged!!!)
Ask friends to donate via Facebook and Twitter.
Scroll to the bottom of your fundraising page.
Click on the Facebook and Twitter links to post to your Facebook and Twitter accounts.
Facebook posts on your parent’s page usually get the MOST donations!
Ask friends to donate via email
At the bottom of your fundraising page, click on the blue rectangle that says “Get Page Link.”
Copy this link and email it to all of your friends and your parents’ friends.
OR
Click on “Message” at the top of your Donor Drive page to send emails from Donor Drive.
Donors may donate to you online and it will automatically get credited to your fundraising page.
3. Entering Cash & Check donations on your fundraising/DonorDrive page
Please DO NOT enter your cash or check donations on your DonorDrive page. If you enter your own cash/check donations, they will be deleted.
After you submit your cash or check donations to the blue Mini-THON box in the MS Office or the HS Guidance Office, your donation will be counted and verified. A member of the Finance committee will then enter and approve your cash and check donations on your donor drive page.
NOTE: This process may take at least a week or two until your cash and check donations are entered and approved on your donor drive page. All cash/checks from each donation sheet will be entered as one lump sum.
Fundraising Tips
Each dancer is required to raise at least $30 in donations.
Listed below are a variety of ways to raise money.
Ask family, friends, and teachers for a donation.
Get a coffee can, wrap a Mini-THON label around it and put it out at a business or your parent’s workplace. (Make sure the business owner knows who will be picking up the can so it does not get taken by someone else.)
Online (DonorDrive) donations!!!—See directions above.
Ask familiar people in your neighborhood for a donation.
If you belong to any clubs or groups, ask them for a donation.
Speak at your local churches and ask for donations.
Please email sgminithon@gmail.com if you plan on doing this, so we can make sure the same places are not being covered by multiple people.
Put an announcement in the weekly bulletin and actually speak at all of the weekend services.
Ask businesses to sponsor you.
Before you contact a business or company, check with Haley Rappoldt to make sure no one else is contacting them. If an official letter is needed, e-mail Haley (sgminithon@gmail.com).
Remember all donations will help a child battle cancer. Good Luck!
March 6, 2024 — Students will only receive a t-shirt if they submit all of the following by this date: online registration, permission & medical form, registration fee, and a minimum of $30 in donations.
REMINDER
The purpose of the Mini-THON is to raise money for Four Diamonds (conquering pediatric cancer).
Every dancer/participant MUST submit at least $30 in donations. Online donations will automatically count toward your $30. Cash and check donations must be turned into the MS office or HS guidance office with a donation sheet.
