FAQ

REGISTRATION QUESTIONS

    1. Where do I turn in my registration papers, registration fee, and donations?

      • Place your registration paper and registration fee in an envelope. Turn this envelope into the blue Mini-THON box in the MS office or the HS Guidance Office by Feb. 13, 2023 to receive a t-shirt.

    2. What if my family can not afford the registration fee?

      • Please have your parent/guardian complete the Permission & Medical Form with you and note this on the online form. The registration fee will then be taken care of by a generous person. Since the purpose of the Mini-THON is to raise money for kids with cancer, you will still be responsible for collecting at least $30 in donations by Feb. 13 to receive a t-shirt.

    3. How do I know if I registered properly online?

      • You will receive a welcome e-mail that says you are registered.

    4. How do I know if I am completely registered for the Mini-THON?

      • After you register online via DonorDrive, complete the Permission & Medical Form, and then submit your registration fee, and at least $30 in donations into the blue box in the MS office or HS guidance office, you will receive an email stating that all requirements are met and you are now completely registered for the Mini-THON.

    5. What if I don't have an e-mail address?

      • In order to register for the Mini-THON an e-mail address MUST be provided. All students have a school gmail account which can be used.

      • Please check your email because important information regarding the Mini-THON will be sent via email.

DONATION / FUNDRAISING QUESTIONS

    1. Where do I put my cash and check donations?

      • MS Students--Place all cash and check donations in an envelope with a donation sheet and turn it into the wooden box in the MS office.

      • HS Students--Place all cash and check donations in an envelope with a donation sheet and turn it into the wooden box in the HS Guidance office.

    2. When are my donations due?

      • A minimum of $30 in donations MUST be submitted by Feb. 13, 2023. Online donations count toward this total. If you do not have at least $30 in online donations, then you MUST turn in your cash and check donations with a donation sheet to the blue box in the MS Office or the HS Guidance Office.

      • If $30 in donations is not received by Feb. 13, 2023, then a t-shirt will not be ordered for you. You can still turn in your donations between Feb. 13-March 18, but if $30 in donations is not submitted by March 18, 2022, then you will not be permitted to attend the Mini-THON.

      • Cash and check donations may be placed in the wooden box in the MS Office or HS Guidance Office until March 13, 2022. All donations collected after March 13th, may be turned in when you arrive at the Mini-THON on March 18, 2023.

    3. Should I enter my cash and check donations on my online fundraising page?

      • NO! We have had a lot of issues in the past approving cash and check donations that were entered by students into DonorDrive. In order to remedy this situation, the Mini-THON finance committee will be responsible for entering all cash and check donations into your DonorDrive page. Please allow approximately 2 weeks for your cash and check donations to be reflected on your Donor Drive page.

      • If a student enters his or her own cash and check donations, they will be deleted and re-entered by the finance committee.

    4. What can I do to collect donations?

      • Ask relatives, neighbors, and friends to donate a few dollars.

      • Ask churches or organizations in which you are involved.

      • Send out e-mails, tweets or Facebook posts requesting online donations.

      • Print a can label from our paper forms link, wrap the label around a donation can, and place it in a business or a parent's office or lunch room.

      • Call or send a letter to a business and ask them to donate.
