Tuesday Circle

The Tuesday Circle is a club open to all, even if men are a small minority of the current membership. We meet from September to May, normally on the first Tuesday of the month at 7.30 p.m.After the welcome and opening prayer, we hear a speaker. Topics vary a great deal, including information on the background and work of various charities, subjects of general interest, and entertainment. Presentations are often illustrated with slides or other displays. There is time for questions and discussion before we enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, and a blether with old and new friends.

Aidancraft

is a group who use their artistic skills to raise funds for the church. Since 1995, they have generated several thousand pounds from the sale of cards. A variety of crafts are used to make cards for all occasions.

Enquiries: Shirley McGreevy.

Two examples of Aidancraft cards, available at Coffee Mornings and on other occasions.

Badminton

The club meets in the Hall on Monday evenings at 8.00 p.m., from September to April.

Membership is open to over-16's, and new members will be made welcome. There is an annual subscription, plus a small weekly charge to cover the cost of refreshments and shuttlecocks.

We hold a Christmas party, and a tournament to decide the Ladies' and Gents' Champions for the season.

"Fun and friendship" could be the club's motto, while finesse at the game of badminton helps but is not essential!

Enquiries: Joan Donaldson.

Flower Arrangers

There are about 15 enthusiastic and dedicated ladies who undertake flower arranging in the Church. We generally work in pairs, but for the major festivals such as Christmas, Easter, and Harvest we combine forces in a team effort.

The flower rota covers each Sunday from Easter to Advent and from Christmas to Lent.

Donations in memory of loved ones or to mark special occasions fund the cost of flowers and materials.

New helpers are always welcome, men included.

Enquiries: Mrs Joan Donaldson.
