The town of Tildon's folly was founded 73 years ago by the great explorer Marcus Tildon. Commssioned by _______ from the ______ of _____, he was to explore and claim the lands of the frozen southern reaches in their name.

After some initial success, he was lost (and presumed dead) after leaving to survey the Ironjaw mountains. His second in command, Commander Merrick Jonas, while an excellent naval tactician proved to be a poor governor. The mutiny and following revolt by the slave laborers nearly doomed the colony, but the intervention of the native "ice-landers" allowed the survivors to not only survive their first winter, but to thrive.

The colony, as it stands today, is a trading post wrapped within the bustle of a busy seasonal port. During the summer months, ships come and go on a daily basis, bringing the needed supplies - mostly fruit, vegetables, and grain. They leave with holds crammed full of furs, and precious metals.
