Meta

Note: I'm throwing this up here to open some discussion of base principles. The Home comment thread is getting long and diverse. Please feel free to edit these pages and add your own thoughts.

What is Meta?

Meta is a section of the site devoted to all aspects of world building that leak across the lines of individual realms. Eventually it will include the baseline characteristics of the world so we all have a common framework to build from. This is not meant to limit or control anyone's individual realm. If, for example the group decides an Earth-like baseline is normal and you want low gravity, that's fine. You just might want to provide some background as to why your realm is different from the rest of the world.

Meta is also a place to discuss this site and how it is organized. I'm sure everyone has their own ideas about the kind of information they want to put forth for their realm. Providing an easy way to find individual realms will be a great boon to each other and to our readers.

I also found how to add/remove pages from the navigation to the left (More Actions/Page Settings), though not how to reorder (that might be owner-only). The bad news is the Realm page won't show a navigable list of sub-pages beneath it, so we're kind of stuck with each realm page on the side bar unless we want to maintain a list of Realm pages by hand. Not hard to to, it just means people have to be mindful if they rename their top page.
