    • May 2017: The inaugural Robots in Jabiru program was a big success!

    • 22 November 2016: Following support from KDS, Ardoch and the Trust to establish their robotics program, Christ the King Primary School in Geelong came second in the Victorian FIRST LEGO League competition, as well as winning the Research Award. The Trust followed up with financial assistance to help the team travel to Sydney for the finals. Good luck!

      • 18 May 2016: KDS hosted students and teachers from Seaford Park Primary School as part of the outreach program. They were given a FIRST Lego League mission mat and a course in robot building.

    • December 2015: Year 10 student Tamsin Goldfeld took out the Robert Feigin Emerging Scientist Award with her warning system for children locked in hot cars.

    • June 2015: Teachers and students from King David, supported by the Trust, travelled to Northern Bay College, Geelong and Sunshine College to support their LEGO Robotics programs.

    • February 2015: The annual First Robotics Lockup event was again a big success, with representatives from industry and academia joining in on the fun

  • December 2014: Year 10 student Jory Braun has won the 2014 Robert Feigin Emerging Scientist Award for a working prototype of his invention "Cycle Signal".

  • 3 December 2014: Three KDS students, who have long-term involvement in the Robert Feigin Science Program, have won the Victorian Young Physicists' tournament!

  • 19 October 2014: The Trust and the King David School participated together in the annual Caulfield Park fun-run to raise money for the Trust's activities. All up we raised over $10,000 which will go a long way to supporting the Trust's current activities and expanding our Outreach program.

  • March 2014: The First Robotics team has returned from the regional competition in Hawaii, with another strong result to their name.

  • December 2013: Gabriel Abrahams wins the 2013 Emerging Scientist Competition

  • 1 July 2013: Team Melbourne received the prestigious Inspiration Award - the most sought-after award in the FIRST Robotics competition!

  • 9 April 2013: The First Robotics Championship team, Team Melbourne, has returned from the regional competition in Hawaii! Read more

  • 8 March 2013: We have receive confirmation that our FRC Champion team, Team Melbourne, will be presenting its FRC robot at the forthcoming Formula 1 Grand Prix! This is in association with our Aerospace industry partner BAE Systems, and is part of then "Driving Careers, Driving Success" program in the Education Expo tent at the Grand Prix.

  • December 2012: Isaac Moulton has won the Robert Feigin Emerging Scientist award for 2012.

  • December 2, 2012: The King David School has successfully hosted Victorian FIRST® LEGO® League Robotics Championship on Sunday 2nd December at the Rebecca Magid Centre

  • July 3, 2012: The FIRST Robotics team was awarded the Robot Champions Award AND the Inspiration Award at the inaugural national competition, Duel Down Under.

  • 23 May 2012: BAE Systems and La Trobe University have confirmed that they will continue to support our FIRST Robotics team!

  • 28 March 2012: Three Members of Pandora, our CanSat team which will be competing in France this year, were interviewed on The Space Show with Andrew Rennie. A podcast can be found here. The team has also launched an official website: http://www.pandorasat.org.au/.

  • 5 December 2011: King David School team competed in Sydney for the Australian FIRST LEGO League Robotics Championships.

  • 30 November 2011: Joel Torbiner took out the Robert Feigin Emerging Scientist award for 2011.

  • 20 November 2011: Our FIRST LEGO League team placed second in the Victorian state FLL championship!

  • 9 November 2011: Brett Biddington, Chair of the Australian Space Industry Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Australian Government’s Space Industry Innovation Council, who visited KDS in 2008, presented to a large group of Year 9 and 10 students on cutting-edge Space research and careers in the space industry.

  • 25 August 2011: Our CanSat team finished in the top five in the international competition in France!

  • 10 August 2011: The Robert Feigin Memorial Scholarship Trust was mentioned in the Victorian Space Science Education Centre's article about the CanSat team's impending visit to France.

    • 1 August 2011: In the lead up to their trip to France later this month, The Age newspaper today published a story about the Trust's CanSat team.

  • June 2011: CanSat team hosts two important visitors in preparation for the impending launch of their satellite in France in August! Read more

  • 9 March 2011: The trust's new winemaking program, Vintage 2011, officially began with the students' first visit to Paradigm Hill Winery.

    • October 2010: Grade 1 students received a visit from Snakebusters thanks to support from the Trust.

    • August 2010: High Power Rocketry Club conducted their first rocket launch.

    • 7-15 July, 2010: Milorad Cerovac attended the 5th Schwartz Seminar for Leading Science Teachers, thanks to assistance from the Trust. To see the full report click here.

    • The first Encounters with Science evening for 2010 was held on Thursday 29 April with guest speaker Professor Andrew Lawrence.

    • 3-4 April 2010: Milorad Cerovac attended a weekend rocket launch in preparation for the 2010 Small Sounding Rocket Program.
