Movie Poster

A movie, or film poster is used to advertise a film. For a single movie, there can be several versions of a poster, but there is usually one "main" or iconic poster. Posters contain an image with text, usually containing the title of the movie and the names of the main actors as well as the director. Movie posters also include a tagline for the film, a release date and sometimes includes production credits.

Before you start making your movie poster, you should do an image search. Because you might not be able to find images of actors in a scene similar to the one in your book, it might be easier to find pictures of settings or props in your book that are memorable.

If you enjoyed making a movie poster for your pitch, you might want to make posters for each of your characters. Sometimes, films with an ensemble cast produces posters for each character. These character posters usually contain the name of the actor or actress, with or without the name of the character played, and a tagline that reflects the quality of the character.
