Writing for the Real World
Throughout this semester we will work to build writing skills that are necessary for a world outside our classroom walls. The course will explore writing opportunities students will encounter in a classroom and workforce setting. We will continue to build upon the fundamentals of grammar, spelling, word usage, and vocabulary skills. Students will also strengthen editing and proofreading skills through the process of revising and editing written work.
As a student in this class, you are responsible for completing all assignments and participating in class discussions.
Attendance for this class is mandatory. Only make-up work from excused absences will be accepted for credit. Work time will be provided in class, and homework may be given to prepare for new material or to practice skills. It is expected that students complete their homework by the assigned due dates. Students are expected to complete all work in a timely manner and be respectful of assigned due dates for the course.
