Summer Stroll

It was a sunny summer day.

I was walking along a stream,

Gently flowing on its way.

The gentle chiming of many birds

Was soothing to my ears.

I observed a lowly turtle,

Leisurely walking and going about his ways.

The fragrance of flowers was a sweet perfume.

Beneath a shady walnut tree I rested.

I laid on the damp grass,

As I was there I watched a grey squirrel,

Searching for treasure to hide away.

I felt a gentle breeze,

And looked at puffy white fluff.

I then thanked God

For the wonderful gift of nature.
