Global Office and Global Officium

The Global Office and Global Officium are two sides of the same coin. This coin is valuable "currency" to help us contribute to international member care. The Global Office refers to the reality that our service locations are all over the world. The Global Officium refers to our "duty" to provide quality services internationally. We affectionately refer to this coin--this reality for learners-practitioners--as the "GoGo." (smile)

BBC Language Learning Check it out

Here is a great way to develop additional skills for the Global Office and for the Global Officium. We like to listen to international news in both English and in other languages that we know or are learning. So we do language learning and Global Office/Officium learning simultaneously. The BBC is one of our favorite source for this, with programs online in 32 languages. Some colleagues think the BBC is too liberal and biased. Other colleagues in the Geneva area for example just smile when they hear such assertions.

They cite the BBC as still being one of the more objective sources of news. No news organizations is not without it's slants of course.
