World's First Symposium on
"Role of Meditation for Prevention and Treatment of Cardiovascular Diseases"
March 9-10, 2019
Presented by:
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS)
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS)
Veerbhadra Marg, Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, India
We, Indians, Land of Meditation, and Yoga are honored and immensely pleased to invite you to the first ever International Symposium of Yoga as Medicine: Use of Meditation in Cardiovascular Diseases. This will be the biggest and the most comprehensive meeting ever held on meditation and its use for cardiovascular diseases. Please join us for an exciting one-day pop-up yoga and science conference that will bring together the brightest minds of our day, doing scientific research on yoga and meditation’s effects on cellular regeneration, longevity, consciousness, and health. Internationally recognized speakers will describe their own groundbreaking research, demonstrate models that integrate eastern philosophy and western medicine, and provide practical guidance for the use of these techniques in clinical medicine. Billions of dollars are needed to combat these diseases, which are the biggest killers in the world. India, with its restricted resources, is facing an epidemic of diabetes mellitus, which leads to cardiovascular diseases. To mitigate this swelling number of cardiovascular cases with available resources, it is essential to integrate yoga and meditation as a scientific entity, along with modern medicine. This symposium is meant to achieve that end by having didactic sessions for physicians on the use of meditation in treating cardiovascular patients and preventing cardiovascular diseases in high-risk cohorts.

Conference on Yoga for Health and Therapy
Yoga Therapy: Scope, Evidence and Evolution
March 29-31, 2019
Presented by:
Patanjali Research Foundation
Haridwar, India
Patanjali Yogpeeth, Haridwar, India
Objectives
The interest in yoga and in ways of adopting a healthy lifestyle is increasing. This was apparent from the enthusiastic response to the two International Conferences on Yoga for Health and Social Transformation, held in Patanjali Yogpeeth in January, 2011 and 2013 respectively. When we practice yoga the benefits are often apparent fairly soon. People then get curious about 'how', and 'why' these pleasant changes are occurring and whether there would be any possibility of using yoga to improve our daily life, manage disease and help promote positive health. This conference aims to bring scientists together to address issues like these. We also hope that yoga practitioners and scientists will get a chance to interact and exchange ideas.
This conference will bring together leading scientists, researchers and academicians to address the underlying mechanisms of the benefits of yoga and the value of its application in health, medicine and society.
Speakers
Speakers from academically renowned institutions such as the All India Institute of Medical Science (New Delhi, India), the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (Bengaluru, India) and Harvard Medical School (Boston, U.S.A.) will be invited to give oral presentations on yoga and its applications. The speaker presentations in this conference will be primarily, but not exclusively, academic and/or evidence-based.

Porto Alegre, 17 de março de 2014
Caros,

A Dra.

We are investigating a viability of offering MSc in Mindfulness: Neuroscience and Clinical Applications at the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London, UK, to start in September 2013. It would be a one year full-time academic postgraduate degree with an experiential mindfulness module. The MSc would be of interest to people who are looking to pursue a PhD in mindfulness or enrol on a Doctor...ate in Clinical Psychology programme, or simply wish to learn about mindfulness, its effect on the brain, and the mechanisms of its clinical efficacy to enrich their existing mindfulness practice or enhance their mindfulness teaching skills. If you would be potentially interested in enrolling on MSc in Mindfulness please let us know by 'Liking' this page. Thank you!

Local: Golden Hall do São Paulo World Trade Center.

Greetings!
As someone who has been interested in the Mind and Life Summer Research Institute, we thought you may be interested in presenting at the 2012 International Symposia for Contemplative Studies.
The Mind & Life Institute, serving as the coordinator of this collaboratively organized International Symposia, is soliciting proposals for concurrent symposia, workshops, panels, roundtables, paper presentation sessions, and poster sessions. Each of these types of sessions will be allocated 1 ½ hours of time within the program. Submissions may focus on conceptual, theoretical, empirical, and/or methodological issues. Proposals that are integrative and cut across traditional disciplines are particularly encouraged, although discipline-specific proposals also are sought.
Submissions will be accepted through August 31, 2011. Notifications of acceptance will be issued by September 30, 2011.
Please visit here for more details: http://contemplativeresearch.org/proposals
Types of presentations:

Proposals for roundtable discussions may include up to five discussants. Proposals should include the names, affiliations, email and telephone contact information for the roundtable chair and participants. Abstracts, limited to 300 words, should provide sufficient specificity of content to allow the planning committee to adequately evaluate the proposal.

Proposals should include the name, affiliation, email and telephone contact information for the presenting author. Abstracts, limited to 150 words, should provide sufficient specificity of content to allow the planning committee to adequately evaluate the proposal.
Individual Poster
Poster presentation proposals may include new research results, as well as theoretical, historical, or other relevant scholarship, and will be reviewed for acceptability and grouped thematically for placement during a 1.5 hour time block. The poster session will be held in the early evening along with a reception, and will not compete with any other sessions. Proposals for poster presentations should include the name, affiliation, email and telephone contact information of the presenter, plus a 150 word abstract, providing sufficient specificity of content to allow the planning committee to adequately evaluate the proposal.

Where many mindfulness trainings are isolated from the delivery of curriculum, Creativity and the Brain introduces the basics of embodied, "brain aware" mindfulness along with real time methods of application to K-12 curriculum (especially biological and math sciences.)
The summer training will take place over a 5 day period in Boulder Colorado, preceded by 5 online introductory hours in the neuroscience of mindfulness.
We would be honored to have you -- thought leaders in the field of mindfulness -- join us. For more information and to register go to:
