Loop Fun

Loop Fun is a set of 10 lessons, based around loops. It is available only on DVD-ROM, that you use on PC or Mac. You navigate through it with a normal web browser.

The content consists of

    1. - Lesson videos (10)
    2. - Fretboard videos (20)
    3. - Backing loops (10)

Of course you can play the DVD directly from your computer's DVD drive, but many drives make an annoying noise, or some older drives may be too slow and cause hickups, or some delay in opening video. If you have a 3 GB disk space free, copy the entire content to your hard drive and play it from there, it will run more smoothly, and without delays.

Navigate to the DVD (or copy on disc) with your regular file browser e.g. (windows explorer), and click the START file on the DVD. The DVD menu will open up.

The videos are in flash format, which is a cross-platform format. If you get a message like 'plugin not available' then your browser does not have the plugin flash installed. For all common browsers, plugins are usually freely available.

If you want to play the backing loops, they can be played with an embedded Flash player on the DVD, or you can play or copy mp3 files from the DVD any way you want. Of course you can also load them in a loop player if you have one.

Errors in version 1.0:

- loop #8: Bb13 displayed as position 5 in stead of 6.

This error has been corrected in a later version

If you noted any other errors, a short message is appreciated, so it can be listed here, and fixed in an update!

2018: Compatibility issue:

It has recently occurred, occasionally, that on some particular Windows PC's, the video's do not play in the navigation pages. The exact reason and solution is as yet unclear.

As a workaround, you can install a free VLC Media player, and play the videos directly, without using the navigation pages. So, then, you go with your regular file browser to a folder such as LoopFun3, and directly play CMajFm_lesson. When you have installed VLC, you can recognize the media files by the orange symbols. You can also play the SWF files directly, e.g. loop3, or loop3x3.
