Detailed Map by Korean Ulleungdo inspector team

Mostly ,Koreans insists "Usando"（于山島） is Japan's Takeshima(Liacnourt Rocks or Dokdo) with simplified description of Ulluengdo and Usando on Korean Peninsula Full Map or Kanwon-do（江原道） Maps. But, it is strange they never explain it with Detailed Map which Korean Ulleungdo inspector produced in the actual survery on Ulluengdo (Dagelet).

Most of Maps before 1694, Usando is located on West, Northwest ,or Southwest of Ulleungdo with Big island design or small island design.

On the other hand, after 1694, Usando is described on northeast of Ullengdo mostly.

But, checking carefully Korean antique map collection , Usando on Korean maps after 1694, there are "Detailed Ulleungdo Map" by Korean ullleungdo inspector team.

Now, we can confirm only four Inspector's detailed Ulleundgo maps and detailed map ,referenced those inspector's maps

1. 1711. Samchok commandar 朴錫易's detailed map of Ullengdo (house in Seoul Nat'l Univ Kyuujanggak library No.奎 12166.)

This maps clearly shows single island The So-called Usando (所謂于山島） have female bamboo field (海長竹） ,east of Ulleungdo with closer distance.Ofcourse, Takeshima(Liacnourt Rocks or Dokdo) have no bamboo field, and it is South East of Ulleungdo, 90km far away.Also ,see here yabutaro page to confirm how is Usando on Korean antique map.

After 1711 map. there are many Circular shape design detailed Ullengdo maps" around early 18th century to early 19th century.

Then, Those Circular shape design change to Pentagram shape design detailed Ulleungdo maps which adds gridline, distance and measure informations. Pentagram shape desing Detailed Ulleungdo Map around middle of 18th century to 1830's

2.1867, or 1770-1883. Detailed Map of Ullengdo (house in Korea Central Library No.古2702-2)

This map also series of "Ullenugdo inspector's " detailed map of Ulleungdo.See norheast of Ulleungdo, there are Big-Usando（大于島） and Small-Usando（小于島）on the shore of Ulluengdo ,next to adjunctive rocks e.g. Samseon Rocks(三仙岩）today. Those island's description is very presious with Jukdo-Boussoe Rock and Gwaneumdo today. check the next map also.Ofcourse, Takeshima(Liacnourt Rocks or Dokdo) it is South East of Ulleungdo, 90km far away.It seems wrong that Japan's Takeshima reserch organization informed that this map is published on 1699. This map there are many "unique" place of name on the other hand 1711's detailed map have less "place of name" so It can be concluded that this map is after 1711 to 1883.Those placemarks in this map, it matchs the description around 1880-18303.1770-1883. Almost same design with Detailed Map in Korea Central Library No.古2702-2). This map have more detailed design of Ulluengdo's adjunctive maps.See norheast of Ulleungdo, there are Big-Usando（大于島） and Small-Usando（小于島）on the shore of Ulluengdo ,next to adjunctive rocks e.g. Samseon Rocks(三仙岩）today. Those island's description is very presious with Jukdo-Boussoe Rock and Gwaneumdo today. check the next map also.This map have also "evidence Suverior list" on right side.It seems wrong that Japan's Takeshima reserch organization informed that this map is published on 1699. This map there are many "unique" place of name on the other hand 1711's detailed map have less "place of name" so It can be concluded that this map is after 1711 to 1883. Those placemarks in this map, it matchs the description around 1880-1830.

4.1883. Detailed Map of Ulleungdo (鬱陵島外圖） (housed in Seoul Univ Kyuujanggak library)

This map was published on 1883, by Ulleungdo Inspector 李奎遠.There are Jukdo(竹島） and Seommok（島項） instead of Big Usando（大于島） and Small Usando（小于島） because 李奎遠 judged Usan is another old name of Ullengdo, he fellowed the recognization of from the Korean traditional Geography record e.g. Dongguk Yeoji Syunran東国輿地勝覧.After 1883, We dont know the reason why,,,, but pentaglam shape desin detailed Ullengdo maps revival and it is used for Korean Geography Textbooks around early 20th century.So, Simplified Ullenugdo and Usado map on Full-Korean peninsul map and Kanwondo-area maps, those designed original from those inspector's map and reports. So, It can concluded that Korean recognized Usando is Jukdo-Boussole Rock, not Japan's Takeshima (Liancourt Rocks or Dokdo)

ofcourse, there are no record which Korean Ulluengdo inspector's controlled Liacnuort Rocks. e.g 1882 and 1900 and so on.
