The Hummers joined the league in 1977 and played the last three years (1977 thru 1979) the league was in existence. The Hummers finished second in their first year and played in the World Series in 1978 and 1979. The Hummers were led by the pitching of Margie Wright and Cindy Henderson and the hitting of Pat Guenzler, Nancy "Boomer" Nelson and Vicki Schneider.
