The Aggies played only the second year (1977) the league was in existence. When the Phoenix/Arizona Bird was “dissolved” after the 1976 season, the Aggies were given rights to the Bird players. In 1978, the Aggies lost a multitude of its home playing dates at Bakersfield Memorial Stadium to the Tripple AAA Bakersfield Outlaws of the Pacific Coast Baseball League and would have been forced to play most of its home games in the afternoon. Due to economic reasons, the team management annouced that the team would drop out of the WPSA for the 1978 campaign and re-enter in 1979. However, the team did not resume playing the next year.
