Trash and Recycling

Trash is picked up no earlier than 6:00 a.m. every Tuesday and Friday. Recycling is picked up no earlier than 6:00 a.m. every Wednesday.

No trash is picked up on Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year's Day. On these holidays please hold your trash and recycling for next scheduled pickup.

Notices will be sent regarding Christmas Tree pickup

Trash cans and recycling bins may be placed outside for pickup no earlier than 4:00pm the day before a scheduled pickup. They must stay out of sight all other times. This helps prevent critters from rifling through your trash and recycling.

Please contact Republic directly for pickup of large items before putting them out for pickup or for new/replacement recycle bins.

Fairfax County Code mandates residents must recycle. Violators could be fined $500.00 for each offense. For more information, see Fairfax County Recycling and Trash.
