Grounds Committee:

  • Primary Committee Responsibility:

    • Monitor lawncare maintenance contract provisions and make recommendations for changes to the Board of Directors (BOD) as required;

    • Arrange for tree and shrub care as approved by the BOD;

    • Coordinate with homeowners to combine their tree trimming/removal requirements with common area trees.

Common Areas of Indian Run: Maintained by annual Association assessment and individual donations. Common areas are parking, streets, and land outside individual lots. The Association maintains the State owned berm and street (i.e., F854) that parallel Little River Turnpike and the parkland directly behind the fences of 6801-6831 Indian Run Court.

NOTE EXCEPTIONS:

  • The front and backyards are homeowner and their tenants responsibility. Contact T&H Gardens for individual maintenance contracts (703.946.8040)

  • The parkland on both sides of the Indian Run Creek is maintained by Fairfax County.

Tree Removal/Trimming:

  • Above 18 feet:

    • Completed as needed using our preferred tree service provider to maintain trees or clean-up from storm damage.

    • Please contact the Grounds Committee for additional information.

  • Below 18 feet:

    • T&H Gardens, 703.946.8040

    • April and August per our contract

Cleanup Event Calendar:

  • Spring Cleanup:

    • A notice is emailed announcing the date when residents may place debris from their yard in the common area for removal by T&H Gardens.

  • Fall Leaf Cleanup:

    • 1st Leaf Pickup: Normally the Monday before Thanksgiving;

    • 2nd Leaf Pickup: Normally no later than Monday before Christmas (after Bradford Pear Tree leaves fall);

    • A notice is emailed announcing these dates when residents may rake leaves from their yards to the common area for removal by T&H Gardens.
