Jasmine Chanifah Uzdah Bachtiar

Jasmine is the first daughter of the Bachtiar family. She was born in Mataram in 1995. She is now a lecturer at the Mataram University. She has been a lucky girl since her early years. She won many competitions in arts, sciences, and religion contests. Her excellent performances are surely not only dependent on her luck but also on her hardworking attitude. She loves reading, traveling, and adventure. In the school, she is academically very good in science and math.

Jasmine has a complete secondary school background. After finishing elementary school, she studied in the Pondok Pesantren Modern Darussalam Gontor Putri 1 (an Islamic Boarding School for Girls) for two years. In the boarding school, they are obligated to speak English for one week and Arabic for three weeks, every month. She therefore can speak Bahasa Indonesia, Arabic (Lughatul Arabiya), and English well. She moved out of the boarding school due to her health concerns. She did her secondary school at a state middle school at SMPN 7 Mataram and at a state high school SMAN 5 Mataram.

In tertiary education, she studied at the University of Brawijaya (UB) and the Institute of Technology of Bandung (ITB). She was enrolled at the Architecture Department of UB in 2013. In her past six semesters, she did very well and she was honored to be a lecturer assistant in several subjects. Although architecture was not her major interest, she later surprisingly enjoyed architectural works very much. Upon finishing her bachelor's degree, she did her master's in the same discipline at Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB Bandung).

She was registered as a lecturer at the Architecture Department of the University of Mataram, in the second month after graduation. Then, she secured her lecturer position as a permanent lecturer (state employee) in 2022.

She married to Adam Abdurrahman, a Ph.D. student at Nanyang Technology University, Singapore.
