Naila Taslimah Bachtiar

Naila is the last kid in the Bachtiar family. She was born in Mataram in 1996. She did her primary and secondary education mostly at Mataram. After finishing her primary school, she spent 2 years studying in an Islamic Boarding School, Pondok Pesantren Modern Darussalam Gontror Putri 5. In this school, she talked and wrote either in Arabic or English languages daily. She loves adventure and the arts. It is an adventure living with other 30 students in the same bedroom.  Since her early years, she has enjoyed doing art performances on stage. She liked reading poems and acting performances very much when she was in elementary school. Although she never won any competition in art performances, her courage in performing was awesome. In the school, however, she is good in science, foreign language, and math. She speaks Bahasa Indonesia and some English. It was her destiny to have an excellent sister in the same school, and all the teachers were expecting her to be as good as her sister.

She did her high school education at the State High School 5 (SMAN) of Mataram. She then studied for her bachelor's at the Aquaculture Department of the University of Brawijaya (UB). Studying at the same university as her sister happened by chance. Aquaculture was not her favourite subject but she has been luckily adapted to work on aquatic sciences. She did her bachelor's degree with cum-laude surprising herself and her family. She then pursued her master's degree at the IPB University Bogor. While she was doing her first year in the master's program, she was registered as a government employee at the Minister of Fisheries and Fisheries Affairs. Now she is working as the fisheries management staff at the National Center for Capture Fisheries (BPPI) located in Semarang City.
