Yabla http://spanish.yabla.com/demo.php
offers native speakers, and media such as TV and music, in short pithy videos which are sortable by difficulty, country and therefore accent of origin, and topic. Text options exist and listening games are offered. I haven't seen yet what exists for “testing” ones comprehension. Several languages offered. Free options only give you some demos. Subscribing is affordable and offers choices and benefits.

Duolingo
One of my Fifth grade students and her mom were very excited to tell me about the fun they were having. And I'm resurrecting my French. It'd be better to have a microphone so I could see how I'm doing producing the language. It's fun, relies lots on literacy: reading and writing. Free so far.
www.thinkspanish.com This is a tour which gives you a great sense of the magazine. I brought my Spanish back from the catacombs almost 10 years ago with help from this outfit. ...and with a short visit to Chiapas Mexico and other study. Tour below
