2016 Competition Rules
The rules for 2016:
Catch that cup!
Your robot must knock over a cup. The robot that takes the least amount of time to knock over the cup wins.
But the cup will be on top of a remote controlled robot driven by your competitor. The arena will contain obstacles, such as pillars, rumble strips, and a ramp.
The remote robot and cup will be retroreflective, so you will be able to detect them with a laser.
The remote robot will have limited speed and maneuverability. Time ends when the cup falls - even if the other robot did not hit it, so don't drive too aggressively!
As you develop your robot, some things may change:
- best two out of three trials? Average of three trials?
- build more than one robot?
