Ranger Pledge

Up until the 1980s, the Ranger Rick Ranger Pledge was posted in front of the magazine, either on the backside of the cover, or the following page, to remind young rangers how to go about protecting the environment around them. The artwork changed twice during the 1970s. If you know a young ranger out there, it may be pretty neat to give them a copy of the pledge as it used to look, with Rick reciting it to the residents of Deep Green Wood.

From 1970 to 1976, it was given as "Objectives" of the magazine.

From 1976 to about 1980 the objectives were now printed as Ranger Rick's Pledge.

In 1992, the Ranger Pledge of old was reprinted with new artwork by Alton Langford. This drawing would reappear anytime the Benny Bass story was used.
