Unique and custom made quilts are handmade and machine sewn to create a piece that will be in your home for years to come.
On a personal note, when my Mum died in 2006 I found it really hard to give her clothes away - especially those outfits that had many memories attached (her golden wedding celebration outfit, her choir uniform etc). As we were clearing things I started to ferret items away. It was then that I decided to make a quilt from all those special items and outfits. I made one for myself and gave my brother and sister one each for Christmas that year, and one as a wedding gift to my niece the following year. Now we each have a unique way of remembering our Mum, her taste in clothes and the events that contain so many precious memories. These quilts will be passed to our own children in years to come and remain a lasting memory of a great lady.

In 2010 I was asked to create a similar thing. This time I was asked to make cushions from a beloved daughter's clothes to sit in a special rocking chair. The clothes had remained in a wardrobe for many years since her death as no-one wanted to throw them away. This way, the family could have closer contact with their memories of this special girl on a daily basis.Please Note:
If you commission a quilt to be made from clothing you will be requested to send a number of items. Please note that these will be cut up to make the quilt and will not be returned to you in their original form.
It can take up to 4 months for a bespoke quilt to be completed.
