Of hearts, bunting and early morning mist

A few weeks ago I decided to take some of my hearts (and a few other bits and pieces) to a car boot sale. Can't believe I had to get up at 5.30am!! A friend came to collect me and by 6.30am we were setting out our stall - with mist still on the field! Through the day we had a steady stream of browsers - but I quickly realised that car booters are not prepared to pay the asking price for anything. I ended up selling about 5 hearts for about £1 each - not something I intend to replicate - not sure that even covers the cost of the materials - let alone the time taken to make. Still, it gave me an idea of what was and wasnot popular. In my haste to get things ready for the car boot sale, I still had plenty of hearts left that I had cut out but not done anything with - so I decided to see if I could make some heart bunting. Great tip: don't spray starch hearts when they are filled with wadding! The wadding goes really hard - had to unpick them and start again. This time I starched the hearts before filling and then just filled with a thin layer of quilters wadding just to give them a bit of depth. I think it works well - what do you think?
