BBC Model B + 65816 = years of joyful experimentation

If it's got a 5volt supply, uses through-hole pins on a 0.1inch pitch, and has an 8-bit micro on it, we're interested. So long as it's got some relevance to 6502.

Preferred platform: BBC micro, because we've got 2 or 3 already and it's easy to work with.

Present obsession: 65816, because it's very compatible with 6502 but has some interesting 16-bit capabilities. And because we bought half a dozen of them.

Other ideas: Electron, Oric, C64, something using FPGAs...

Latest state of play: running just under 13MHz using a 51.900MHz clock can.

Shown above, Beeb 816 running at 8MHz using a clock taken from the video subsystem.
