Mona Mahmudnizhad

Mona Mahmudnizhad was hanged for teaching Bahá'í classes to children, what in the West would be considered Sunday school classes. As a result, the political and religious authorities in Iran considered such religious teaching a crime and sentenced her to death. She was hanged at the tender age of 17. Her father was also executed for also being a Bahá'í. In Iran, Bahá'ís are presumed guilty of "spreading corruption on earth," when the only thing corrupt are "religious" teachings that condone such crimes against humanity.
