Texas QSO Party 2011
As in 2010, I hiked into the Windmill Backpack camp site in Colorado Bend State Park for the 2011 Texas QSO Party. This allowed me to hand out San Saba county.
I used a KD1JV AT Sprint 3 QRP rig on 80m, 40m, and 20m. The antenna was a doublet; 67' on 40m and shorter, and 134' on 80m, supported by a Jackite kite pole. The doublet was fed with 300 ohm twinlead, and matched with an Emtech ZM-2 tuner.
Packed and ready to go.
It was about a mile walk in to my campsite.
