FCC Study Guides

Prior to 1984, examinations for Amateur Radio licenses were prepared and administered by the Federal Communications Commission. The questions on the examinations were not published, but the FCC released study guides, that publishers used to prepare study materials. Copies of the study guides could also be picked up at FCC field offices or requested by mail. I have a few copies of these, which I have scanned and captured in pdf files, for those interested in amateur radio licensing history.

  • SS Bulletin 1035b - Study Guide for Element 4(A) Examination for the Advanced Class Amateur Radio Operator License (February 1976)

  • SS Bulletin 1035a - Study Guide for Element 4(B) Examination for the Amateur Extra Class Amateur Radio Operator License (February 1976)

  • PR Bulletin 1035 - Study Guide for the Amateur Radio Operator License Examinations (January 1980)
