Gannett Peak, WY 1990
In late July and early August of 1990, Ed Ogle and I backpacked in Wyoming's Wind River Range, in the Fitzpatrick Wilderness, and climbed Gannett Peak. We followed the conventional route; the Glacier Trail, from it's trailhead near Dubois. We spent about 9 days hiking in, climbing the peak, and hiking out. It was one of the most incredible adventures I have ever experienced.
Although I was a licensed ham back then, I didn't have or take a QRP rig. Considering the weight of the climbing gear and food required, I think I'd leave the radio behind even today!

Pinnacle Ridge (I think). Aptly named.
Piddling around with my pack with a spectacular backdrop.
Hiking up the summit ridge.
