Ingredients
- 2 parts (by weight) roselle fruit, washed and deseeded
- 1 part water
- ¾ part sugar
To Prepare
- Deseed each roselle fruit by slicing off the stem...
- ...and pushing (with a finger or chopstick) the seed forward...
- ...until it pops out and the fruit looks like this...
- Bring the water to a simmer, add the fruit (no seeds), and continuously stir (the flesh will begin to melt rather quickly)...
- Once the flesh has melted (or mostly melted), add the sugar and cook until dissolved
- Pour into jars and let cool...
- Enjoy!
