Three Phase Event at Mothar Mountain
1 to 3 May 2010
Cooloola Carriage Club Three Phase event was held over the Queensland Labour Day holiday at Mothar Mountain, near Gympie. Campers arriving Friday and filled up by Saturday with our new camping area arranged for the extra volunteers and competitors.
There were sixteen entries, small and large ponies and horses. Saturday afternoon competitors walking the marathon obstacles, dressage arena and cone course, their briefing Saturday evening and then all enjoyed sitting around the fire at night.
Sunday starting dressage at 9.am, followed by the picturesque marathon of 10.4klms with a walk section and four marathon obstacles, then onto the cone course with a Temperature, Pulse & Resperation (TPR) check after 30 minutes of finishing.
The weather was fine although doubtful Sunday morning but fined up to and leaving a lovely day.
Some drivers stayed back till Monday to take our volunteers for a drive with the horses which they all look forward to each year.
Cooloola Club event organizers thank Marilyn Taylor for judging the dressage, Ian Taylor for judging the cones, Joan Prince the TPR steward and thanks to all the volunteers and competitors for a successful weekend.
