National Show Driving Championships 2009
Australian Carriage Driving Society Queensland Branch hosted the National Show Driving Championships on Sunday 20 September at the Caboolture Showgrounds, north of Brisbane.
Twenty-four drivers and equines all turned out in their finery and presented to ACDS Show Judges, Mr Chris Wilton-Smith and Mr Clinton Woods both travelling from New South Wales. The Queensland spring weather lived up to its sunny reputation and after the Turnout classes, the judges suggested that the competitors be excused from wearing their jackets and coats for the rest of the afternoon harness classes. The day ran smoothly and finished in good light with the Queensland host feeling proud that the National Show Driving Championships were a success with all who attended enjoying themselves.
To judges Chris Wilton-Smith, Clinton Woods and the competitors, your time, effort and professionalism shown on the day is much appreciated.
