NOTE ON SW FLORIDA NOV 15 LUNCH

1818 Society,Florida Chapter, Nov 15 lunch in Naples

Well, the food and service were just excellent, the weather was wonderful and the noise level was deafening and so, I’ll wager, all had a really good time!

We had, 34 for lunch – Shiva & Charu came by train from DC with their grandsons, several drove from the other side of the peninsular and others from a few hundred miles north of here. The draw of the Bank!

The Club here really went all out to make the occasion special – a private suite beautifully presented, lovely fresh flowers and – did I mention the desserts? I saw several ladies with 4 large pastries on their plates.

Many of us renewed old friendships, and two discovered that they grew up a block or two apart in Heidelberg. Shiva was drafted to say a few words about the Bank, but stating this was too sad, brought us up to date instead on several 1818 developments, including some good news on the RMIP. Gautam Kaji was also not spared the microphone and wisely told us not to shed tears for the Bank but enjoy our lives here. Words to live by!

So, thank you all for coming and making this a great event. We should do it again.
