Choice of Topic

The dissertation is a major part of the Masters programme and, for many students, often the most challenging and rewarding part of the programme. A very wide variety of study is possible, including original empirical investigations employing one or more of a range of research methodologies, theoretical reviews, and historical, literary or philosophical investigations. Often studies have direct relevance to students’ professional concerns and a topic may be chosen which is also a concern of the programme member’s own institution or employing authority.
